I am a 4th year student pharmacist interested in pharmacy analytics and technology and psychiatric pharmacy. I was actively seeking a fellowship in pharmacy analytics and informatics or an entry level analytics position at a pharmacy industry, biotech company, or consulting firm. In February of 2022, I accepted a fellowship position from Omnicell for medication management and analytics. I will start this year long position in July of 2022. I have an extensive background in pharmacy and analytics and am excited to apply the skills I’ve gained over the last six years to this data analyst/informatics role.
I anticipate graduating with an area of concentration in PharmacoAnalytics in April of 2022. I have a strong background in statistics as well as SQL, Python, and R. I have worked with various machine learning methods and am proficient in Microsoft Suite. I decided to commit to pharmacy analytics because I am highly interested in the potential of data and technology in healthcare. Data and technology can improve patient outcomes, enhance safety, and optimize medication management. It is a growing field that is becoming increasingly essential and will be the future of healthcare as the pharmacy becomes autonomous.
My passion lies with mental health advocacy. My long-term goal is to work for an industry or health tech company that is focused on psychiatric medications, where I can use my educational background and analytics skills to make a difference in the world of mental health. I am fiercely passionate about this patient population. Before reaching this long-term goal, my current focus is on building up my analytics and programming skills, facing new challenges, and becoming a leader in analytics.
